Mixing Vs Mastering 

Mixing is the process of balancing multiple tracks together. 

Mastering is the process of quality control and honing the stereo mix to a finished master that translates across multiple formats and systems.

What format do i need to send the files?

Please send Stereo Interleaved WAV or AIFF files (no MP3 or compressed formats )

at the same bit depth and sample rate that the tracks were mixed in, to our upload page 

How loud should my mixes be prior to submission?

Please ensure that the audio is not normalised and has at least 3db -6db of headroom no mix limiting/clipping.

What is the procedure and How long will my Master's Take?

Please order through the completion of the online contact form 1-2 weeks in advance. After 2-3 days You will receive a first revision (revisions are unlimited) . Once the master is approved please allow 7 days for completion of an album.  

How do I show my album in iTunes ?

Album tracks can be submitted to iTunes via the Gracenote database by either us or the client. We can input metadata for CD Text and ISRC codes (if available) .

How many revisions do i get?

Album revisions are unlimited.

Important Information for Vinyl Pressing

VINYL SIDE LENGTHS
Please be aware that the following are the maximum recommended times for vinyl, courtesy of Pirates Press. Maximum side lengths vary depending on pressing plant, cutting lathe, source material, and more.

33 RPM 12" : 18 to 20 minutes maximum
45 RPM 12" : 14 to 15.5 minutes maximum

33 RPM 7": 6 to 7 minutes maximum
45 RPM 7": 5 to 6 minutes maximum

33 RPM 10": 14 to 15.5 minutes maximum
45 RPM 10" 10.5 to 11.5 minutes maximum

Stem Mastering

Please submit all stems as stereo AIFF or WAV and allow 1 week per track 

Archive/Transfer 

We endeavour to transfer your  recordings for archival purposes at the highest possible quality  - Please note although we have Vinyl and Tape it will be required to outsource some reel to reel /DAT /Minidisc and DCC machines Which will require the hire of some external equipment which may incur additional hire costs .
